Letter Art
We are going to start small with a simple activity to help get you more familiar with Photoshop and help me get to know you. You will use the tutorial found to the right along with a group of images that you will find online (large, high quality only please) to create your own Lettering Image.
Directions 1. Locate 15-20 images of things that represent you. You can locate these on the internet or off your phone. 2. Create a folder on your flash drive to save ALL images to 3. Go to dafont.com and download a font that is very "thick" in appearance. 4. Open Photoshop CC. 5. Create a new document that is 2000 pixels (W) by 800 pixels (L) 6. Type your name (You may have to use your first and last) Must use at least 7 characters. 7. Using the directions to the right, complete the project. REMEMBER: This is supposed to give me insight into you and things you like. So make sure I can tell what the images are. When you are finished save the file (as a .psd file) to your computer in the Graphics folder. Save the file as firstname + lastname + lettering.psd (ex. lorimillerlettering.psd). You also need to save the completed project as a JPEG file in the same folder. Submit the PSD AND JPEG of your work! When ready, submit it to Mrs. Miller via Google Classroom. |
